Renovation Report: Completion of Phase I Renovations
PAAL is pleased to report Phase I of the renovation of our existing space is complete, thanks to a generous grant from the Cameron Foundation. Many members of the community shared in the festivities during our official opening ceremony in September 2009. This project added classrooms and support space to the existing galleries; restored the street side exterior; improved the electric and HVAC infrastructure; brought the building into compliance with all codes; and made the facility ADA accessible.
Our revitalized visual arts center exhibits wonderful art every month, offers art classes to students and adults alike as well as summer enrichment programs, and conducts weekend workshops. We are planning ongoing day and evening seminars, in addition to social and cultural events.
The next phase will provide a state-of-the-art museum meeting all standards for important traveling national exhibits.
