Friday for the Arts, February 9, 2018

This month the Petersburg Area Art League will showcase the works of a local artist who has been featured in our galleries in the past.  We will also have the pleasure of displaying multiple media from many of the art department's finest artists at the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School [ARGS]. And we will also have the author, and the star, of “Lula Belle’s Big Battersea Adventure” on hand at a special book signing event.

In the Main Gallery you will be treated to the photography of Terry Crider.

Artist's Statement:  I love nature and the great outdoors.  I want to take people where they may not normally go through my eyes.  My goal is to inspire people to get out and look at the world surrounding them.  You do not have to go far to see beauty!

In the Upstairs Gallery, PAAL is excited to present work from The Appomattox Regional Governor’s School [ARGS].  The gallery opening will feature many of the art department's finest artists.  Pieces range from 2D to 3D and are made of multiple media.  The gallery opening at 6pm on Feb. 9th will be a black-tie affair with a Valentine's day ambiance.
