Taught by Stephanie Barr, homeschooling Mom & state certified K-12 art educator. Globe trotting is the name of the game this time! During this 6wk. session we'll pack our bags & check out art from around the world to inspire our own artwork

Middle Grades

Thurs. 10-11:15

Taught by Russell Kvasnicka, retired art educator of 36yrs. Mr. K will focus on painting techniques during this 6wk session. 

Monster Mash

K-5th grades

$20 per child

We'll help build the excitement for evening festivities with this fun class Halloween morning! Creepy cute monster art making, Halloween treat eating, energy burning in the art park and some fun treats for later are all included in the cost of this class.

Need time to wrap up some of those holiday details? Need time to START knocking off those items on your holiday to-do list? Drop the kids off at PAAL for a fun morning while you take care of business. We'll use oil pastels and colored pencils to create adorable nutcrackers, enjoy a treat from Buttermilk Bake Shop and play some holiday themed games from around the world. Supplies & treats are included in the cost of this class.

Sock Knitting

If you have never worn handknit socks, you have been missing out! They have no seams, lumps or bumps to rub your toes, have padded heels, come in any color or texture you can imagine, fit perfectly, and last for years. Students will learn to knit in the round, turn a heel, and make a toe. All materials are provided, and students can take a started project home with them to finish. Some knitting experience is suggested - if you know how to knit and purl, that is all you need to start! Age of participants 12 to 212 (if a kid signs up, the parent can come for free, 1 parent per kid)

Tired of having to paint “like the teacher”? Do you get super excited to come to an Art class just to be bored by the subject matter?” Are you ready to UNLEASH your ARTIST self? 

This painting class is unique. Taught 1:1, everyone’s Art is different. Finally, you will be able to create what YOU want. Have no fear! I will be there to help you every step of the way. If you have always wanted to make amazing Art, THIS is the class for you!

Create Your Own Vision Board

Do you feel stuck? Want to shift your life to new direction? Do you feel the nagging sensation that there is something more in life but just not sure how to find it? 

Experience this engaging and powerful process.  Create a personal vision board that enables you to identify and define dreams and goals. Guided imagery is used to help you focus on what you really want (even if you don’t know what that is!)

Your vision board can be about anything: Where you want to travel, your career path, the type of home or car you want, do you want children, a family… It can bring THE answers to your questions and we’ll have FUN doing it!

Felt Brooch Making

Brooches are one of the hottest accessory trends this season & felt is perfect for fall and winter weather. Spend a Sunday afternoon at PAAL learning how to make our own unique brooches to compliment your fall and winter outfits. Supplies: if you have a great pair of fabric scissors or rotary cutter you love bring that along. All other supplies are included. Basic hand sewing knowledge helpful.
