The art works featured in the exhibit will include a variety of mediums and artists. Examples include a landscape painting by Herb Funk, a wood sculpture by Clyde Johnson, pastel drawings by Patty Munford, acrylics by Valerie Daniels and mixed media by Milly Youngblood Horner.
“It is a wonderful opportunity for PAAL to work with the SVCA to showcase these artist and their works,” said Russell Kvasnicka, President of the Board of PAAL. “I feel honored to judge this show and look forward to the high quality of work that is always exhibited by these artists.” Kvasnicka explained that PAAL had the opportunity to host similar shows several times last year and they were very popular and successful. “It is not only an opportunity for area artists to show case their work but a chance for them to gain some of the recognition they so deserve. Most, if not all, of the artists are members of PAAL and I hope that this is something that we can continue and do more often to recognize the abundance of talent we have in Petersburg and the surrounding areas,” added Kvasnicka.
