PAAL is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission of supporting and nurturing the visual arts in the Petersburg area.
Exciting things are happening at PAAL.
PAAL is in the middle of a renaissance. Thanks in part by a grant from The Cameron Foundation, PAAL’s building at 7 E. Old St. has recently been renovated and expanded to include an Education Center.
Additionally, the City of Petersburg has generously donated to PAAL the lot adjoining their building, which the organization is currently transforming into a public sculpture garden.
All PAAL programming is partially supported by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
As PAAL continues to undergo these changes, the Exhibit Selection Committee will provide exhibits that offer the community high-caliber visual art. PAAL will also expand the educational programming to include youth after-school enrichment programs, art classes for adults, and teacher training programs, and will continue to develop events such as an annual fashion show and an annual crafts show.
